The Baltimore Whiskey Company Announces Expansion and Move to Union Collective

Baltimore, June 28, 2017 – The Baltimore Whiskey Companywhich distills quality Rye whiskey and other spirits in the heart of the city of Baltimore, today announced that it will expand and move the entire distillery from 2800 Sisson St. to Union Collective (1700 W. 41st. St. in Hampden-Medfield) at the beginning of 2018. The company released a video to fans this morning on social media: https://youtu.be/lVRAph_fmUA.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Union Craft Brewing and the other vendors at Union Collective,” said Baltimore Whiskey Company’s CEO Max Lents. “It’s going to be a great place for the community and for collaboration. Hopefully we’ll be able to make enough whiskey to keep Baltimore happy!”

The new 10,000 square-foot-location will include a second still, expanded fermentation capacity, and a larger tasting area. The move will coincide with the release of Baltimore Whiskey Company’s Rye Whiskey, which is currently aging in barrels. It will be the first rye whiskey on the market that was distilled in Baltimore in more than 50 years.

“Our new system will still be focused on old world distillation and small batch artistry,” said Head Distiller Eli Breitburg-Smith. “The new space and equipment will let us make and store about ten times what we currently produce for whiskey.”

“The Baltimore Whiskey Company embodies the true ‘spirit’ of this project,” said Jon Zerivitz, Union Craft Brewing’s Co-founder. “They are homegrown entrepreneurs producing handcrafted spirits of the finest quality. They share our passion for both product and community and will add tremendous value to the visitor experience. We are thrilled to have them in the Collective.”
