The King of Farmhouse IPAs is one mischievous monarch. Just when we thought his royal chalice was empty and his stock dry, he rolls out a bourbon barrel full of the once-a-year brewed Royal Farmhouse Double IPA. But something was very different about this drink. With continued fermentation in the barrel from a special yeast strain patiently mingling with a royal blend of hops and oak emerged an intriguing elixir with mellow esters, candied fruits, and a touch of vanilla.
