To commemorate each 500th batch, we are borrowing a tradition from the Altbier brewers of Germany in which a “sticke” or “secret” recipe is developed for an annual brew of a bigger, bolder version of our year-round Alt, Co-Founder and Head Brewer Kevin Blodger creates his own secret recipe variations of UNION Craft’s award-winning Balt Alt.

Using 50% more of the same malts found in Balt: Pils, Munich, CaraMunich and Carafa and additional noble German hops in the kettle and also in the dry hop, Balt The More showcases both the German malt character and the earthy, herbal, floral aroma of these beautiful German hops.
