diamonds & Pearls

Its not hard to believe Max’s has been around for 30 years. The place feels timeless despite having undergone significant change over the last 3 decades. In the late eighties and early nineties, long before “craft beer” was a thing and the famed Belgian Beer Fest wasn’t even a glimmer in its eye, Max’s (On Broadway) was THE Fells Point music venue – having hosted the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Warren Zevon, and Blind Melon. Fast forward 20 years and Max’s Taphouse has become a true beer institution. Today, A visit to Baltimore is not complete without bellying up to Max’s bar and ordering one of over 100 drafts or a rare bottle from any corner of the world.

UNION Craft was basically conceived over the course of many Thursday night sampling sessions at Max’s. We got to know Casey, Bob, Jamie, a trio of Jasons, Gabby, owners Ron & Gail Furman, and the entire staff. We held our launch party at Max’s in 2012. Max’s Taphouse is a part of us, a part of Baltimore, and a part of the world wide craft beer movement. Thank you Max’s for the first 30 Years. Here’s to the next 30!

ABOUT THE BEER:
This hoppy Gose combines two of our favorite things: hops and sour beer. Diamonds & Pearls is a slightly salty brew that also packs a hop punch from a new, grapefruit expressive, experimental hop variety. A dose of Nelson Sauvin hops add notes of Grape and Gooseberry. Finally, we dry hopped with a blend of the two hops to accentuate the flavor with a powerful aroma. Enjoy this one with good friends and raise a glass to the 30th Anniversary of Max’s Taphouse.

Diamonds & Pearls will be available on draft and in limited edition 16 oz cans available exclusively at Max’s Taphouse.
