Balt The More

Union Craft Brewing Company today announces the release of a new brew to comemorate its 500th batch of beer brewed at its Hampden-Woodberry facility. Borrowing a tradition from the Altbier brewers of Germany in which a “sticke” or “secret” recipe is developed for an annual brew of a bigger, bolder version of their year-round Alt, Co-Founder and Head Brewer Kevin Blodger created his own secret recipe variation of UNION Craft’s award-winning Balt Alt. “I really wanted to showcase the beautiful German noble-hops that we use in Balt,” said Kevin. “So, to create Balt The More, I made a bigger version of Balt, with more of that quality German malt character. But what I think makes this beer really special is the earthy, herbal, floral aroma of these beautiful German hops.”

Balt The More Sticke Alt will be a draft-only release to be distributed in the MD & DC market, with a portion of the batch reserved for slow aging in bourbon barrels for a later release.
